Give your trip its own project

ClipMyDay Free includes one project; an additional trip project alongside your everyday diary requires Pro. During closed testing, use the default project unless ClipMyDay already shows Pro access is active, and do not make a real-money purchase to follow this guide. Decide which journey and destination moments you want to remember. A weekend close to home works as well as a long holiday.

ClipMyDay keeps a local working library on your Android phone, and you can start without an account. Record a new clip or select individual photos and videos you already took. Pick the project and date deliberately when saving so the memory appears in the right chapter.

Collect details as well as landmarks

A well-known view establishes a place, but a train window, a shared breakfast or the sound of a market can explain what the trip felt like. Take a few options when convenient, then choose one short moment that carries the memory. You do not have to film continuously or make an entry every day.

Trim a video to the useful part and check its framing. A still photo can fill a day when you did not record video. Keep the selection varied: a close detail, a person and a wide view give the finished sequence more context than a collection of similar shots.

Review the journey in date order

After the trip, open the project. Free includes This week and Latest 30 days; choosing exact trip dates with a custom range requires Pro. Use a Free range during closed testing unless ClipMyDay already shows Pro access is active. Check the included moments and dates before previewing. Leave gaps empty or choose existing media for the missing day, confirming its date when asked.

Watch the preview from beginning to end. Look for repeated views, awkward crops and moments that need a little more context. Use crop or fit to make a deliberate framing choice, then prepare the updated preview and watch again before exporting.

Choose sound and share deliberately

Decide whether the original sound helps tell the story. You can mute it or use a built-in soundtrack; if you use an audio file, make sure you have permission to share it. Listen to the result and check that conversations or background sounds are appropriate for the people who will see it.

Save the finished film to your chosen destination and share it only with the people you choose. Creating a movie does not post it to a public feed. Keep a portable archive before moving phones; archives are unencrypted ZIP files, so choose storage you trust.
