Make a photo and video slideshow with music

Combine stills and clips, choose framing and sound, then preview and export your movie.

Select stills and clips for one story

Start with a clear subject: a month at home, a trip, a birthday or a year of family moments. Select photos and short videos that add different details to that story. A still can hold a quiet moment while a clip brings movement or sound; you do not need the same number of each.

In ClipMyDay, record a new moment or select an individual photo or video using the Android photo picker. Save it to the project and date you intend. You can build a local diary without an account. Your chosen gallery original remains separate from the app’s working copy.

Check the order and the frame

ClipMyDay Free includes one project with This week and Latest 30 days movie ranges. Calendar-month, year and custom ranges require Pro. During closed testing, use the default project and a Free range unless ClipMyDay already shows Pro access is active; do not make a real-money purchase to follow this guide. Memories follow their dates: check the calendar, leave gaps empty or deliberately choose existing media for a past day.

Photos and videos can have different shapes. Review each frame and decide whether to crop for a filled frame or fit the whole image. Check faces, text and other details near the edges. Trim videos to the part that matters, then preview the sequence to see how the stills and clips work together.

Choose sound you can use

Original sound can give a clip a sense of place, but it may contain a conversation or background noise you do not want in a shared film. Listen carefully and mute original sound when appropriate. You can choose a built-in soundtrack or use an audio file you have permission to use.

Check the balance between music and the original recording before exporting. If you change the sound or framing, prepare a fresh preview and listen again. When sharing beyond your own household, make sure your permission for any chosen audio covers that use.

Preview, export and keep a copy

Watch the full preview rather than only the first few moments. Check the date range, included memories, framing and sound. Save the finished movie to your chosen destination, then open the saved file to confirm it is the version you intended to share.

A movie export does not replace your diary or originals. Before changing phones or uninstalling, create a portable archive and store a copy away from the device. Archives are unencrypted ZIP files, so anyone with access can read their contents. The help centre explains archive and restore.
