Everything has a clear place.

Start in 30 seconds

1. Open Today and tap Add today’s moment.
2. Record a new clip or choose one photo or video with Android Photo Picker.
3. Select the one-, two-, three- or five-second part you want to remember.
4. Review it, then save. It appears on Today, in Timeline’s calendar and inside the selected project.

Five places. One simple routine.

• Today: your next small step and this week’s memories.
• Timeline: find a day in the calendar or catch up a missed moment.
• Capture: record now or choose a specific photo or video.
• Studio: create and revisit your life movies.
• Library: organise your separate projects and chapters.

Tap Protection on Today for Settings, including reminders, app lock, accessibility, and archive controls.

First launch moves at your pace. Tap Continue when you are ready, start with the default project, or choose Personalize my movie. The guided tour can be explored one step at a time; playing it is optional.

Try a month before adding your own

On the Welcome screen, choose Explore the guided tour. The Example library contains 30 fictional days, separate from your personal memories. Open a day to read its caption, include or exclude examples, and preview the sequence at one, two or three seconds per photo.

These choices are temporary. Examples are not added to your projects, included in your archive, or mixed into your own movies. The welcome film has Play, Pause and Replay controls; it does not move you past the welcome screen.

Choose the atmosphere that suits you

In Settings → Appearance, choose Premiere — Dark for deep navy surfaces, Daylight — Light for a brighter view, or System default to follow your phone. Your memories and movie colours do not change when you change the app’s appearance.

Reduced motion limits interface animation and stops the welcome film from starting automatically. You can still choose to play it. Larger text and high contrast are available through the app’s accessibility settings and supported Android settings.

The appearance buttons in this website’s footer apply only to the website and are remembered in this browser.

Where your pictures and videos live

1. Gallery original

The file you selected remains in its original location. ClipMyDay does not modify or delete it.

2. Private ClipMyDay copy

A working copy lives inside app-private storage. ClipMyDay uses this copy to trim moments and build movies. Other apps cannot normally browse this space.

3. Files you export

A movie, shared moment or archive leaves private storage only after you choose a destination through Android.

Catch up without guilt

Open Timeline’s calendar and choose an empty past day. Select a photo or video for that date. ClipMyDay checks available metadata and asks you to confirm when it cannot prove an exact match.

Missing a day never damages a project. There is no streak punishment, and ClipMyDay never scans your whole gallery to fill gaps automatically.

Make your life movie

1. Open Studio, or open a project in Library and choose Make a movie.
2. Choose Create for me for an editable draft from eligible, non-private moments in the latest 30 days, or select a month, year, birthday-to-birthday period or custom range yourself.
3. With Create for me, review the draft summary and choose Prepare preview. Play the prepared movie when you are ready; preparing it does not start playback.
4. Choose Adjust movie to change the style or sound, then prepare the updated preview. A manually selected range opens the style controls first.
5. Choose Save film to review export settings and export. Keep ClipMyDay open or return later; interrupted work has a recovery path.

720p is the reliability-first option. 1080p and capability-gated 4K depend on the app edition and the device’s codecs.

The recommended draft keeps the full frame and date order. Review its selected moments, title, framing and calculated duration before export. Creating a draft never publishes or sends a movie.

Private moments are excluded by default. If you deliberately include them through a private-inclusive selection, the preview discloses their inclusion. Preview files stay in app-private storage; check the selection before exporting or sharing.

Make it yours without changing the original

A little colour, or none at all

In the capture editor’s framing controls, choose Natural, Warm, Cinema or Mono, then adjust the intensity. Reset the look to return to Natural. Looks are part of the editable recipe; they do not overwrite the gallery original or silently change older memories.

Try Smart Fix, then compare

Smart Fix checks sampled frames on your phone and suggests conservative colour and exposure adjustments. It may keep a balanced image unchanged or decline a source it cannot assess reliably. Compare Original and Corrected, reset the correction, or undo that reset. Continue and Save wait while analysis runs; Cancel lets you continue without the pending correction.

Editing a saved moment starts from its already-rendered result, with neutral controls so earlier changes are not applied twice. It does not restore the unedited gallery original. To start again from that original, choose it again. Changing a video’s selected time range clears the old Smart Fix result so you can analyse the new range.

Your memories and your music together

Choose an audio file you have permission to use. In the movie’s sound controls, adjust original sound and music separately, choose where the track starts, and turn the smooth start/end fades on or off. Imported music loops when needed. New imports start below the original sound; older saved music-only recipes retain their previous behaviour until you change them.

The sound controls show the imported track’s name. Choose Prepare and play sound check to hear up to eight seconds of the current mix. The ending fade is placed at the end of this short check. Pause, Cancel and Retry are available where appropriate. After changing the mix, prepare a fresh sample. Playback does not resume automatically when you return from another app.

Listen before sharing. ClipMyDay does not automatically detect speech or promise automatic audio ducking. A built-in generated-music service is not available in this preview.

Create an archive before changing phones

On Today, open Protection → Settings → Archive & restore → Create archive. Choose a safe destination outside the phone if possible.

The ZIP includes readable JSON, media files and SHA-256 checksums. During restore, ClipMyDay stages the archive privately, verifies it and shows a preview before replacing or merging data.

An archive stored only on the same phone is not protection against losing that phone. Copy it to a computer, removable storage or storage provider you trust.

Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes the private working library. Create an archive first. Your original gallery files are separate and remain where they were.

Troubleshooting

Camera does not open

Open Android Settings → Apps → ClipMyDay → Permissions and allow Camera. Existing memories remain available without it.

A video is unsupported

Choose Make compatible copy when offered. The original remains untouched.

An export was interrupted

Return to the export recovery screen and retry. ClipMyDay keeps verified completed work and does not report a movie as ready before verification succeeds.

Pro price is unavailable

Reconnect Google Play and try again later. No charge occurs until Google Play shows its confirmation and completes the purchase.
